Prefinery or Waitlark? What sets them apart.
Prefinery has run viral waitlists and gated betas since 2008. Waitlark is in development, priced per launch, with signups stored in the EU.
Prefinery’s plans and features as shown on their own site on 21 October 2026.
Pick Prefinery if you need a waitlist today, want a tool with a long track record, or want close control over a gated beta with invitation codes. Pick Waitlark if you’d rather pay once per launch than a monthly price with per-user overage, and want signups stored in the EU.

Waitlark vs Prefinery: common questions
- Is Waitlark cheaper than Prefinery?
- We can’t say yet, because Waitlark’s prices follow before it opens. Prefinery starts at $39 a month billed every 6 months, or $49 billed monthly, for 1,000 users, then $0.005 per extra user per month. Waitlark charges once per launch, never counts contacts on paid plans, and gives everyone on its waitlist an early-bird price for their first launch.
- Can I move my list from Prefinery to Waitlark?
- Waitlark isn’t open yet. When it is, export your users as a CSV from Prefinery, which every plan includes, and ask us in the chat about bringing them over.
- Do both tools support invite codes?
- Yes. Prefinery delivers unique invitation codes so you decide who gets access and when. Waitlark lets you pick a batch by position, by answer or by hand, sends each person a one-time link or code, and shows who activated.
